A youth needs to realize that he’s not just here on earth to get an education, to get a job and pay bills. Those are good but they are not the ultimate reason of being in the world.
You are here to make a contribution, to make a difference, to solve problems confronting humanity. According to Dr. Myles Munroe, “Life is not measured by duration but life is measured by donation.” Dr. David Oyedepo puts it this way: “Life is not measured by possession but it is measured by contribution”. And to top it, Jesus said a man’s life does not consist of what he possesses. But how can a youth make meaningful contribution when others in his age bracket don’t make use of their time in a way that will ensure they make the most impact?
One of the reasons this book, Understand Your Time And Your Purpose, is written is to remind every youth that you can choose to stand out from that crowd. But before you can, you must realize that you are here on earth for a specific purpose and you need to live your life in a way that will ensure you fulfill it. As such, nothing, including fellows around you or your present challenges should make you live a life that is not spent aiming to fulfill that purpose. The reason is simple: God is for you, and that means you can do all things.
God has made great deposit of treasures inside you that the world needs for it to become a better place. As a youth, recognizing that time is limited and wise use of it is an essential factor to fulfilling that purpose is a central message in this book.
Consequently, the book further seeks to open your mind to a few simple processes that if you follow will help you to invest your time in a more beneficial way. The intended outcome is that you take hold of the ship of your life, take responsibility for your actions and ensure that you walk surely and steadily into achieving what God sent you here to do. The book will also assist you to better discover yourself, and help you identify those potentials that can make you self-reliant.
